About Risk(y)Business

My name is Kris. I go by Risk(y)Business because Risk is an anagram for "Kris" and in this case, sometimes it's more of a warning than a handle.

I am a proud, queer woman and I have had the privilege of basically having the dating life of three different people.

I mean, I used to think I was straight. And then I was really into being queer and open to anything. And now I've settled down.

I started this "nerdy dating advice blog" because I was very tired of most dating advice columns focusing on either sex, or horribly gendered ideas on what women should do and what men should do. I mean, I love talking about sex, but I think a real dating advice blog should be about emotional issues in REGARDS to sex, or sex issues in REGARDS to emotion. In dating, the two issues are irrevocably intertwined. Also, I was really annoyed by the stupid ideas that Cosmo comes up with to "add spice in the bedroom" (for example: I once read about using fishnets to massage your man's penis. Like...ouch?)

So while I am a self-described nerd, I don't think that nerds need any sort of special dating advice. Rather, I'm attempting to give intelligent, cogent advice to people who have "real life" issues and questions.

Feel free to leave me comments (you can leave private ones) and questions. I adore them.
